Always at the Feet of my Guru, Ma Jaya Sati Bhagavati
Ingredients & Utensils:
- Ingredients:
- 1 small Watermelon – Organic
- 2 – 4 Lemons or Limes – Organic
- 1 bunch Cilantro – Organic
- 1/4 teaspoon Hot Chili Flakes – Organic
- 1/4 teaspoon Sea Salt or Himalayan Pink Salt
- Appliances & Utensils:
- Food Processor
- Mixing Bowl
- Whisk
- Cutting Board
- Chef Knife
Directions:
Step 1 : Wash the melon, cut the rind off, cut melon into small chunks:
Wash the outside of the watermelon with some soap, rinse well.
Cut the tip off each side of the melon, and place flat tip side down on cutting board.
Cut the rind off until you just have the melon flesh.
Cut the melon into small chunks.
Step 2: Blend the melon chunks in the food processor:
Place some chunks into the food processor and pulse until the watermelon breaks down.
Pour into the mixing bowl.
Little bits of pieces is nice for texture.
Continue until all the melon is blended.
Step 3: Wash lemons and cilantro, chop cilantro in food processor, season gazpacho:
Wash the cilantro, and chop in the food processor.
Add cilantro, hot chili flakes, and salt to the melon mixture.
Wash lemons, cut 2 in half.
Squeeze the 2 lemons over a strainer (catches the seeds) into melon mixture.
Whisk well, and taste.
Adjust acidity with lemon. if needs more add more lemon.
Adjust chili for heat.
Adjust salt to taste.
The salt should enhance the flavor but not taste salty.
