Ingredients & Utensils
- 1 Brick Sprouted Firm or Extra Firm Tofu – Organic
- Vegetable Oil – Organic
- Tamari Soy Sauce – Gluten Free – Organic
- 3 Stalks Celery – Organic
- Black Pepper – Organic
- Vegenaise – ( I like the soy free Vegenaise 🙂 )
- Utensils
- Cast Iron Frying Pan
- Chef Knife
- Cutting Board
- Mixing Bowl
Directions:
Step 1: Open Tofu from Container and Rinse:
Open tofu from container and rinse off with water.
Cut tofu into 8 slices.
Step 2: Cook Tofu until Brown on Both Sides then add Tamari to Season:
Heat up a frying pan on medium heat, preferably a cast iron pan, and add a little oil.
Spread out the tofu slices to fit in pan. Add a little more oil, and cook until brown and crispy on both sides.
This may take about 15 minutes.
After the tofu is brown and still cooking, sprinkle the tamari on top of the tofu in the pan, and then remove immediately to a platter or plate.
How much tamari? Just enough to lightly cover each piece of tofu.
Step 3: Cool Cooked Tofu, Cube, Dice Celery, Add Vegenaise:
Now the cooked tofu needs to cool, preferably overnight in the fridge.
This will change the texture of the tofu.
Cut up into small cubes, wash and finely dice the celery and place all into mixing bowl.
Add some black pepper, and add some Vegenaise.
Mix well, if its too dry add some more Vegenaise until your liking.
Serve and Enjoy!!!
