Always at the Feet of my Guru, Ma Jaya Sati Bhagavati Ki Jai
Ingredients & Utensils:
- Ingredients:
- 1 Green Cabbage – Organic
- 1/4 Red Cabbage – Organic
- 1 Carrot – Organic
- 2 cups pico de gallo or any salsa – Organic
- 1/4 teaspoon Hot Chili Flakes – Organic
- 1/8 teaspoon Black Pepper – Organic
- 1/3 jar Vegenaise or Mayonnaise – Organic
- Splash of maple syrup – Organic
- Appliances & Utensils:
- Mixing Bowl
- Mixing Spoon
- Cutting Board
- Chef Knife
- Vegetable Grater
- Food Processor
Directions:
Step 1 : Wash and prepare vegetables:
Wash the produce.
Cut the cabbages in half, and cut out the hard core at the bottom. You can notch it out in a triangle shape.
Shred the cabbage thinly with the chef knife and place into mixing bowl.
Peel the carrot and grate with the grater directly into the cabbage.
Step 2: Add salsa, vegenaise, hot pepper, black pepper, and maple syrup:
Put the pico de gallo or salsa into the food processor and blend up until liquefied.
Add to the cabbage mixture.
Add vegenaise or mayonnaise, hot pepper flakes and black pepper.
Add a splash or two of maple syrup.
Mix well and taste.
If it needs more zing , add a bit more salsa, if it needs more creaminess then more vegenaise, and if you like it sweeter then more maple syrup.
