This is our Kashi recipe for Hummus.
It is a puree of garbanzo beans, water, lemon juice, tahini, salt and garlic.
It is vegan, gluten free, and delicious.

Ingredients & Utensils
- 1 1/2 cups Garbanzo Beans (1 can) – Organic
- 1/2 cup Water
- 1/3 cup Lemon Juice – Organic
- Sprinkle of Granulated Garlic – Organic
- Pinch of Salt – Himalayan Pink
- 1/2 cup Tahini – Sesame Butter ( I use an organic raw tahini made by”Artisana”) – Organic
- Italian Parsley (optional for garnish) – Organic
- Extra Virgin Olive Oil (optional as garnish) – Organic
- Paprika – (optional as garnish) – Organic
- Utensils
- Food Processor
- Rubber Spatula
Directions:
Step 1: Place Garbanzo Beans, Water, Lemon Juice, Garlic and Salt in Food Processor:
Place garbanzo beans, water, lemon juice, garlic and salt into food processor.
Puree until the garbanzo beans are creamy, about 1 to 2 minutes.
Step 2: Add Tahini to Garbanzo Mixture in Food Processor:
Add the tahini ( I use an organic raw tahini made by”Artisana”) to the garbanzo mixture in the food processor.
Continue to puree for 20 seconds.
Use the rubber spatula to scrape around the sides of the processor bowl.
Continue to puree for another 20 seconds.
Taste for salt and garlic.
Add more if needed and continue to puree.
Step 3: Pour Hummus into Serving Dish and Garnish:
Pour the hummus into serving dish.
Make a well in the center for a little olive oil.
Sprinkle with paprika and chopped parsley to garnish.
