During the cold months, baked winter squashes are warming and delicious.
This recipe adds a cajun spice to the squash of your choosing.
The pictures here show first a butternut and then a spaghetti squash.

Ingredients & Utensils:
- 1 Organic Winter Squash ( Butternut, Spaghetti, Acorn, etc…)
- Organic Olive Oil
- Organic Cajun Seasoning:
- 5 teaspoons Organic Paprika
- 3 teaspoons Organic Granulated Onion
- 3 teaspoons Organic Granulated Garlic
- 2 teaspoons Organic Thyme Whole
- 2 teaspoons Organic Oregano
- 1 teaspoon Organic Black Pepper
- 1 teaspoon Sea Salt
- Unbleached parchment baking paper
- Baking sheet pan
- Chef knife
- Cutting Board
Directions:
Step 1: Make the Cajun Seasoning
Measure all the spices into a dry bowl and mix well.
Step 2: Wash, Cut the Squash, Take out Seeds:
Wash the Squash and cut the stem off.
Carefully Cut the squash in half the long way.
Place flesh side up on a papered baking sheet or pyrex baking dish.
Step 3: Olive on Squash, Spices, Bake until Brown and Soft:
Coat the squash with some olive oil.
Sprinkle the cajun seasoning generously over the top flesh side.
Drizzle a little more oil over the spice topped squash and bake in a 300 – 350 degree oven.
When the squash is brown and soft it is ready.
