Namaste,
This next recipe is a variation from a previous one, apple berry crumble.
This version has no added crumble or grains.
It is a bit simpler, and kind of perfect.
It is amazingly sweet with just the fruit and no added sugar.
And especially delicious served warm with a coconut cream or ice cream!
Enjoy!!!

Ingredients:
- 5 Apples – Organic Braeburn or Fuji
- 1 cup Raspberries – Frozen – Organic
- 1 cup Blackberries – Frozen – Organic
- 1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon – Organic
Utensils:
- Baking Dish
- Mixing Bowl
- Unbleached Baking Paper
- Aluminum Foil
Directions:
Step 1: Peel, Core Apples, Slice, Toss with Cinnamon.
The best apples to use are sweet, a bit tart, and crisp, like a Braeburn or Fuji apple.
Peel the apples and cut into quarters.
Cut the seeded center out and slice each quarter section into 2 or 3 slices.
Place into mixing bowl and add cinnamon and toss to evenly coat.
Step 2: Spread Apples into Baking Dish and top with Berries.
Spreads apples into baking dish (like pyrex).
Sprinkle the raspberries and the blackberries over the top (no need to thaw them, just put them on frozen).
Step 3: Cover with Unbleached Baking Paper and then Foil.
Cover the baking dish with a piece of unbleached baking paper and then some foil over the paper.
Crimp the foil tight over the edges of the baking dish to have a tighter seal.
Bake for 1 to 1 1/2 hours at 300 degrees. Check every 20 minutes.
It is done when the apples and berries have reduced by about half.
Why the paper first? Because the acid in the berries will react with the aluminum.
But there is another cool reason. When the fruit is baking and heating up it releases steam and the paper foil combo catches this water.
The fruit reduces and gets sweeter.
Serve warm with coconut vanilla ice cream!
Enjoy!!!
